First Friday Birthday Bash

March's First Friday falls so close to my birthday, that I decided to make it my birthday party. There will be cake!

The cake, the rhinos, and I will be in my studio at the back of the building and upstairs. Seriously, there's an upstairs. I'm not kidding. It's where I work in California.

Guest artist/photographer Gabrielle Rondell will have a selection of prints available in the front of the building. Our friendly Claremont Art Studio resident artists will also be present and accounted for with their work out for show.

When:
Friday, March 6th, 2014
5pm–8pm

Location:
Claremont Art Studios
1515 S. Claremont St.
San Mateo, CA 94402

Yep, I'm back in California for a while. I get to paint indoors! :)

Continuing exhibition:

Sky Blue was accepted into the 'Artists4Rhinos' exhibition at the Museum of Natural History in Genova, Italy. While the exhibition at the museum in Genova is complete, Sky Blue was selected to travel with the show. More dates and locations will be provided as they arise.

Details:

I am an artist with a rather profound love of rhinos. In addition to painting rhinos (and many other subjects), I draw, designs print and web collateral, and I taught design and development for the last decade. I coauthored the WordPress and Flash Cookbook published by Packt Publishing. I was also a technical editor on the HTML5 for Mobile Devices cookbook published by Packt Publishing. What can I say? I like to use my whole brain.

Upcoming Classes:

I am officially finished teaching design and tech classes for the foreseeable future.

I have nothing but love and high regard for the training institutions I worked with over the last decade. Thank you for making that part of my career and life so rewarding.

Current Design/Development Projects:

I am not taking any new freelance design/development clients at this time. I highly recommend the team at Mahalo Media Group and, for the specialty of author websites, the very talented Ilsa Brink.
